Exercise 1:  Find the course page on the internet and email it (or its location) to me.

Exercise 2:  Email me to say whether you would prefer multiple-choice or "essay" exams, and whether you would prefer exams in the evenings (say, 5:00-6:25) or in-class, as scheduled now.

Exercise 3:  What is the world speed record for a car (that is, the so-called "land speed record")?  Email it to me.

Exercise 4:  What are the dimensions of a basketball court, in meters?  How far is it from the 3-point line to the center of the basketball goal?

Exercise 5:  Find an "applet" which relates simple harmonic motion and uniform circular motion, and email its location to me.

Exercise 6:  Find an internet video about the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.  Email its location to me.

Exercise 7:  Find the approximate volume of water in the world's oceans and email it to me.

Exercise 8:  Find an applet which demonstrates "PV=NkT" and email its location to me.
